We all have our days where we find ourselves talking-the-talk but not walking-the-walk. That’s when we need to stop and ask God to help us see past ourselves and show a little more of God’s grace and kindness to others. Christ-follower, you just might be the only “Jesus” your difficult co-worker, the town gossip, or the driver-that-thinks-they-own-the-road sees today! Matthew 5:44 - “But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;”
Because of Him, believers aren’t what we used to be! 2Corinthians 5:17 - “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
Let’s try to look at things the way Jesus does and be His hands and feet, putting Him first and loving our neighbors as ourselves. If we all did that … oh, what a wonderful world it would be!
Oh, I have days I lose the fight; try my best but just don't get it right.
Where I talk a talk that I don't walk and miss the moments right before my eyes.
Somebody with a hurt that I could have helped,
Somebody with a hand that I could have held ,
When I just can't see past myself, Lord, help me be a little more like You.Lord, help me be a little more like Jesus and a little less like me!
