Depth of His Love

Jesus' sacrifice shows the depth of His love. The greatest sacrifice was the Cross, but He also left the glory of heaven, became bound by time; on earth He lived a sinless life, felt hunger and thirst, weariness, and emotional and physical pain. Why? God can’t be near sin so Jesus took our sin penalty in order for us to live in heaven with Him. It is impossible for humans to fully understand the perfect, unconditional, gracious love of our infinite God. It is perfect love ... God is Love.

Philippians 2:7-8 - "But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross." John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 15:13 - “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” Luke 23:32-33, 42-43 – “And there were also two other, malefactors, led with him to be put to death. 33 And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left. 42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. 43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.” 1John 4:16 - “And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.”

What Jesus did for us … “if that isn't love, the ocean is dry, there are no stars in the sky and the sparrow can't fly! Even in death He remembered the thief hanging by His side. If all of that isn't love, then what is? There's no feeling like it ... the Love of Jesus!”
