Earth Calling God

Don’t let the world fool you into thinking we are not a Christian nation! Inscripted on the Senate Chamber entrance are the words “Annuit Coeptis” (Latin for “God has favored our undertakings.”) The east side of the Washington Monument capstone has the Latin phrase Laus Deo, which means "Praise be to God", and the cornerstone includes a Holy Bible. President Lincoln’s second inaugural address mentioned God 14 times and quotes the Bible twice; he also noted that the Civil War was not controlled by man, but by God. Then 100 years later, Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. delivered his most famous speech, “I Have a Dream”, at the Lincoln Memorial. An inscription was added to the memorial in 2003 that was based upon Isaiah 40:4-5. Our nation’s capital is full of buildings and monuments dedicated to God … these are just a few examples. There is no denying this country was founded upon Judeo-Christian principles and that’s the reason we’re the greatest nation in the world! God still reigns in America … and In God We Trust!

Psalms 17:6 - “I have called upon thee, for thou wilt hear me, O God: incline thine ear unto me, and hear my speech.” 2Chronicles 7:14 - “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

Song Lyrics: Earth to God... come in, God... I know You're hearing our prayers wherever You are. We need You now! Please send Your Love down and take away the pain … in Your Holy Name. We need Your Light, we need Your Love to heal the world You made. Father, please save us in our darkest hour with Your amazing grace. Earth to God … Lord, we're holding on, but not for long. Would You pull us all close to the Holy Ghost and keep us strong? We need Your Light, we need Your Love, we need Your amazing grace to heal our nation!

Today’s song was written for Prayer March 2020, where tens of thousands of people gathered in Washington, D.C. to pray for our nation. Prayer is still desperately needed! It is imperative that Christians stand up and show the world what God can do through them. Luke 1:37 - “For with God nothing shall be impossible.” Believe it! We need God’s help now more than ever. Let’s all call heaven and ask God to heal our nation.
