Almighty God is omnipotent (all-powerful), omniscient (all-knowing) and omnipresent (always present), which is difficult for us to understand because He is spiritual and we are physical. The Bible records the promise of God’s presence and Jesus dwells in the hearts of spiritually born believers and believers dwell in Him. It is through Jesus we have access unto the Father. So how do we find God?
Seek the Lord: With a pure heart and clean conscience 1John 1:9 - “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Hebrews 10:19 & 22a – “Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, 22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience …”
Read His Word Romans 10:17 - “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” 1Peter 1:23 - “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.” In Prayer Jeremiah 33:3 - “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” With singing and thanksgiving Psalms 100:2 - “Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.” Psalms 95:2 - “Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.”
One day out on the water when the fish just wouldn’t bite, I put my pole down, floated around – it was just so quiet. You can’t find peace like this in a bottle or a pill ... it's from God. In a deer stand or a hay field, in the car with the windows down, me and Him just ridin’ around; sometimes whether I’m lookin’ for Him or not, that’s where I find God.
Stop for a moment, be still. Look around at all God has given us. He is mighty, worthy to be praised! Psalms 46:10 - “Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.”
Is Jesus in your heart? If not, why not?
