Tomorrow is “Thanksgiving Day”, a day set aside to give thanks to God with a grateful heart. No, it’s not about the food, football or even family, although all of those are a wonderful blessing. It's about giving thanks to the Holy One ... every day … because He's given us the greatest gift we could ever imagine -- Jesus Christ, His Son. Have you accepted His gift of salvation? 1Corinthians 15:57 - “But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” 2Corinthians 12:10 - “Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.” 2Corinthians 6:10 - “As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.”
With Christ, the weak can say, "I am strong"; the poor can say, "I am rich because of what the Lord has done for us." Our God is so good, all of the time, and deserves our heartfelt thanks. Won't you set aside some time each day to thank Jesus Christ for all He has done for you?
