He Remembered

Updated: Dec 14

The Book of Luke, Chapter 23, tells the story of Jesus being crucified. Two other men were also being crucified on a cross, one on each side of Jesus. Verse 42 reveals the faith of one of the criminals, who told Jesus, "Remember me ..."

Luke 23:39-42 - “And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us. 40 But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? 41 And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss. 42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.”

Jesus remembered him. Luke 23:43 - “And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.”

Jesus wants us to REMEMBER HIM. He remembered us when He offered His life as a substitute for our sins ... the greatest gift we could ever be offered. Have you accepted His gift?

"Remember Me" - Singer/Composer - Mark Schultz

Remember me

In a Bible cracked and faded by the years

Remember me

In a sanctuary filled with silent prayer

And age to age

And heart to heart

Bound by grace and peace

Child of wonder

Child of God

I've remembered you

Remember me

Remember me

When the color of a sunset fills the sky

Remember me

When you pray and tears of joy fall from your eyes

Remember me

When the children leave their Sunday school with smiles

Remember me

When they're old enough to teach

Old enough to preach

Old enough to leave

Child of wonder

Child of God

I've remembered you

Remember me

If you haven't already, pray and just like the malefactor, ask our Saviour to REMEMBER YOU!
