Holy Spirit Come

Without an understanding of the Holy Spirit, it is impossible to understand the Bible and our relationship with God. The Holy Trinity consists of three persons—God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. God the Son (Jesus Christ) was God in human form. The Holy Spirit lives inside us when we accept Christ and helps us grow closer to God.

The moment we receive Christ as Saviour, the Holy Spirit comes to live in our hearts. No one can be a Christian without the Holy Spirit … it is all-powerful, ever-present and helps us learn God’s truth. The Holy Spirit knows our hearts and minds.

Are the Holy Spirit and Holy Ghost the same?

There are still only three forms of God: The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. The Spirit of God/Holy Spirit and the Spirit of Christ/Holy Ghost are two different things.

The Holy Spirit: > is God’s Spirit independent of indwelling someone. > leads us into the knowledge of who Jesus is.

The Holy Ghost: > is the Spirit of The Son Jesus Christ. > When we begin to operate in faith and belief, we are baptized with the Holy Ghost. > is the fullness of His power of the glorified body of Jesus – manifest inside Christ-followers - in order to overcome Satan.

In the Old Testament, the Holy Spirit came on, and even came in, but did not permanently indwell. The Holy Ghost is used in the New Testament after Jesus was resurrected. John 7:39“(But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)]”

The Holy Spirit is referenced only 4 times in the New Testament, speaking of the Spirit being given by God and things done on the “outside” (i.e., sealing). Ephesians 4:30 - “And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.” Eph. 1:13 1Thes. 4:8 Luke 11:13

Believing that Jesus is the Christ means believing that Jesus came out of God and therefore has the full power of God. A person is either faithless or believing, there is no in-between. John 20:27 - Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.” Phil.2:5-8

“Whosoever believes…” … 100% faith, no fear or doubt. John 3:15 - “That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.” John 3:18 - “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” Romans 8:9 1Cor. 12:3
