I Will Stand

Do you listen to or read the daily news? If so, what do you do with that information? Do you believe it or do you research what you’ve heard before you take it to heart?

Just like the modern ‘bible versions’ have been altered, so is our news. There may have been a time when journalists did their due diligence when writing or reporting, but now it seems most of them share the same narrative.

Our God never changes. His truth never changes. Although many will argue the point, our government is founded on biblical principles and many of our buildings in Washington, D.C. refer to our Creator. To highlight just a few: images of the Ten Commandments are found in many federal buildings; the U.S. Capitol declares “In God We Trust” in both the House and Senate Chambers; and Moses (who received the law of God) appears around the top of the walls in the House Chamber, looking down on the proceedings of the House.

If we don’t start standing for God and the truth of His Word, especially in our government, we will stay in the downward spiral we’re headed for. Stand up, Christian! Stand for the One Who died for you! Nothing is impossible when God is on our side! Mark 9:23 - “Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.”

Christ-followers, we must live and boldly proclaim our Saviour, Jesus Christ!

Acts 4:7-10, 20“And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this? 8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel, 9 If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole; 10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. 20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.”

Have a great day, knowing you can live in the power of Christ’s resurrection!
