Today as you listen to the song, sit back, relax and remember … remember Christmases past, spent with family and friends. Discard thoughts of today for just a minute or two and think back to your childhood and the special December days, the special memories. Hold them dear. Now go and make more of those special memories! Today is what you make of it. The world might be chaotic but God gives us the ability to choose how we spend our time. So don’t waste it … look to Jesus … and live to the fullest! Carpe diem!
John 8:12 - “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” Romans 15:13 - “Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.” Hebrews 12:2 - “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Song Lyrics: Take me back to eight years old, the little church on a dead-end road, with a candle in one hand and dad's hand in the other. Take me back to Silent Night; my heart was full and the world was right. Because right now the world looks nothing like those innocent Decembers. These days, peace on earth is hard to find and I need you to remind me one more time ... Jesus, You're still the hope of Christmas! May the sick find healing's touch, may hatred's fight be won with Love, and may every heart make room for you, Lord … Heaven’s Love in a manger low and a promise that’s still true. Jesus, You’re the One who came to save us; the Hope of my heart, the Light when the world looks dark. You’re the reason … and the Hope of Christmas!
