Prayer (prâr): A reverent petition made to God.
We get to know God through His Word and prayer. When communicating to God through prayer, we don’t always receive the answer we want or in the timing we desire, but He does hear the pleas (and praise) of His children, and He does answer. Scripture tells us that even when we don’t have the words to pray, the Spirit will intercede for us. Romans 8:27 - “And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.”
When my heart is breaking, God weeps with me; He knows my every thought. And even though my eyes have never seen Him, I’ve seen enough to say … I know Him.
Philippians 3:10 - “That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;”
Christ-followers, we are loved, we are safe; and even when we can’t feel Him near, He is close.
Jeremiah 9:23-24 – “Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise [man] glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty [man] glory in his might, let not the rich [man] glory in his riches: 24 But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I [am] the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these [things] I delight, saith the LORD.”
He is good, He is kind … I know!
