The Scott Family (Lang Scott, Linda Davis and Rylee Scott) sings today’s song, Love Remains on Country's Family Reunion Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting. Ricky Skaggs produced the record and they won a 2017 Grammy Award for this project with Hillary Scott. A parent’s love and love for our spouse is undeniably deep, but the Hope and love of God is immeasurable and eternal. The lyrics are:
“We are born one fine day, children of God, on our way. Mama smiles, Daddy cries, a miracle before their eyes! They protect us until we're of age. Through it all, love remains. A boy moves on, takes a bride and she stands faithful by his side. Through tears and sweat, they build a home and raise a family of their own. They share joy, they share pain, but through it all, love remains.” “Kingdoms come and go but they don't last. Before you know it the future is the past. In spite of what's been lost or what's been gained, we are living proof that love remains. I don't know, baby, what I'd do on this earth without you. We all live and we all die, but the end is not goodbye. The sun comes up and the seasons change, and through it all, love remains. An eternal, burning flame … Hope lives on and Love remains.”
We are all God’s creation and can become His child through spiritual birth. Jesus Loves us just the way we are. It’s not about “religion” … it’s about Jesus. If you haven’t already, won’t you accept His gift of salvation and spend eternity with Him in heaven where Love lives?
