The little nursery rhyme song, “Mary Had a Little Lamb” has a worldly story behind it. Most of us are familiar with the song and have sung it to our children. The Bible tells a true story about The Lamb of God (and He isn't so little ... He's KING size!)
Matthew 1:20b-21 – “... Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. 21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.”
We hope you had a wonderful celebration of the birth of our Saviour … Emmanuel, God with us … our King-size Lamb … THE KING of KINGS!
Let's celebrate JESUS every day of the year!
The next time you hear or sing the nursery rhyme song, remember the True Lamb Who gave His life for all of humanity so that we could live and sing in heaven with Him for evermore!
John 1:29b - “… Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.”
Revelation 21:23 - “And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.”
The KING of Kings is soon returning. Are you ready for that day?
Revelation 17:14 - “These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.”
