We hope you had a great celebration of the birth of our Saviour! As we close out the Christmas season and look to the new year, think back to Mary, the mother of Jesus, giving birth to the Lamb of God … Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour. “Mary Had a Little Lamb”
At salvation, we receive Christ "in us". Mary, the Mother of Jesus, was literally the first to have the Christ Child "living inside" of her!
Romans 8:11 - “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.”
The Bible tells the true story about The Lamb of God. There’s nothing little about Mary’s Lamb, He’s a KING-sized Lamb! Make it your mission to think of Him and get to know Him through His Word each day, all year. It's the best resolution you could make.
Matthew 1:20b-21 – “... Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. 21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.”
John 1:35-36 – “Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples; 36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!
Mary’s little Lamb died on Calvary’s Cross to offer a gift that will wash our sin. God sent His only begotten Son into this world, and His work has already been done.
Revelation 21:23 - “And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.”
Jesus, the KING of KINGS is soon returning! In God’s strength, power and glory will come Mary’s little Lamb! Are you ready for that day?
