Medley of Psalms

Songs are important to God … He put a whole Book of songs/Psalms in His Word. Singing praises to our Lord is something we will take into eternity with us. Our God is worthy to be praised!

2Samuel 22:4 - “I will call on the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.” Psalms 18:3 - “I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.”

Notice the same verses (almost exact) from different Books of the Bible? When God repeats Himself, what He is conveying is important to Him. Here’s another example:

1Chronicles 16:9 - “Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works.” Psalms 105:2 - “Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.”

Is there joy in your heart? I’ve got the joy, joy, joy, joy down in my heart, down in my heart to stay! For those of you who regularly follow our daily messages linked to music, you might recognize this medley of songs we’ve posted before. It is a fun video to watch and sing along with. The lyrics to secular songs have been changed to words that praise our Lord and Saviour! How to get joy (Jesus) in your heart.

Talk of His wondrous works. Sing to Him. Be thankful for all of your blessings. Think of the countless things God gives you without you even having to ask. We may not have everything we want, but He gives us everything we need. Praise Him!

Psalms 89:15 - “Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countenance.”

It’s time to celebrate all God has given us with some happy tunes! Lift your voice to the King of Kings and sing … even if you don’t feel like singing, do it anyway! You will surely recognize all of the melodies. Count your blessings, not your problems. Be thankful for your struggles, for without them you wouldn’t have stumbled across your strength!

Smile … share this … enjoy your day!
