Father dear, I know You can hear the little ones you gave to us, our children and grandchildren. The world they face is not a friendly place. Please protect them with Your Love, care and peace. Let every pain they suffer make wide their space for joy, and let them see that heaven will be just knowing they have finally come back home.
Psalms 36:7-8 – “How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings. 8 They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.” John 16:20-22 – “Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy. 21 A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world. 22 And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.” 2Corinthians 5:1 - “For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.” John 16:33 - “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
Father, it helps us to know that we are not alone. When we feel helpless, help us to remember that Your Love is not fragile … it is powerful, it changes things … and no matter what we face today, Your Love is greater. Help our loved ones see that heaven will be just knowing they have finally come back home.
