If you take a look at many of today’s Christian songs, it seems the lyrics don’t talk about the blood of Jesus as much as they used to. The shed blood of Jesus is the atonement for our souls; without it, there would be no remission of sin, no ability to spend eternity in heaven with the Most High God. The Bible tells us that we overcome the devil and his works when we testify to what Jesus’s blood has accomplished. According to the richness of His grace, we are justified and have redemption through His blood. What a sacrifice Jesus made! He took our sin and made it possible to be washed clean and new. He gave the gift … but like any gift, you must accept it, open it. Your sin is not washed clean until you are spiritually born into His family. It is the single most important decision you will ever make. What are you waiting for?
1John 1:7 - “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” Hebrews 9:22 - “And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.” Hebrews 9:14 - “How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?” Romans 5:9 - “Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.”
Song Lyrics: “O the blood, crimson Love, price of life's demand. Shameful sin, placed on Him, The Hope of every man! O the blood of Jesus washes me! O the blood of Jesus, shed for me! What a sacrifice that saved my life! Yes, the blood, it is my victory. Saviour Son, Holy One, slain so I can live. See the Lamb, The Great I AM, Who takes away my sin. The precious blood of the Lamb, what a sacrifice that saved my life! O what Love, no greater love! Grace, how can it be that in my sin, yes, even then, He shed His blood for me? Thank You for your Love, Lord. Thank You for Your blood, Lord!"
The blood of the Lamb, the Great I AM, gave Christ-followers victory! Thank you, Jesus!
