Trials. Troubles. Storms. Life is full of ups and downs. Losing a loved one is one of the most difficult things imaginable. Maybe you know someone who has recently lost someone dear. Perhaps there’s a devastating cancer or terminal illness diagnosis. Maybe you find yourself short on money to pay the bills. Whatever your trial, trouble or storm, at least one thing remains: God’s unconditional, undeniable Love for you.
Our Saviour did not leave us comfortless! The best thing we can do is lift up our voice to heaven. Ask the God of all comfort to comfort you and your loved ones. Ask Him what He wants you to learn as a result of the trial you are facing, as He often allows trials in order to get our attention; to teach us something.
Do you have people in your life that seem to only come around when they need something? Is your relationship with Jesus that way? or do you communicate with Him all throughout the day? Remember, prayers are answered, but we don’t always get the answer we think we should or in the timing we desire. God knows what we need more than we do and will give the perfect answer in His perfect timing. His Love never fails!
In the midst of the pain, it's difficult to see His 'footprints' alongside you or even carrying you, but there will eventually come a point when you can look back and see that, yes, our merciful God was there all along! On and on His Love goes …
Romans 8:38-39 – “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Deuteronomy 31:6 - “Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.” Psalms 107:1 - “O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.”
If you are a Christ-follower, a spiritually-born child of God, nothing can separate you from His unending Love! We are never alone. People and things come and go in our lives, but the love of God remains!
