Everyone goes through trials in life, and sometimes we get overwhelmed and begin focusing only on ourselves and our troubles instead of appreciating all the blessings we have. The Bible says to give thanks in every thing … the good and the bad.
Our Saviour bled and died in our place … there is no greater love. The trials we face here on earth are temporary. What Jesus did for us is eternal. Praise His Name!
It may sound a little crazy to praise Jesus for your car that broke down; the job you lost; a bad health diagnosis, etc. But God’s ways are higher and we don’t always see the big picture. Maybe your car broke down so you wouldn’t have a wreck down the road. Maybe that job you lost was because He’s got a better one waiting for you. Maybe there is a doctor or nurse who needs to hear about Jesus and you’re the one He's chosen to share His message of salvation with them.
Whatever the situation, be assured that God is in control and knows best. Take a step back and see what you can learn from your trial. Chances are, God will put you in the path of someone going through the same thing and you will be better equipped to help them.
Psalms 150 - "Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. 2 Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. 3 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. 4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. 5 Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. 6 Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD."
When your mountain seems so tall, when everything falls apart, you can run away and hide ... or you can stop and praise His Name. When you have a broken heart, raise your hands and say, "Lord, You're all I need!" When you feel you're all alone, Praise His Name! You can praise the hurt away if you'll just praise His Name! You can overcome by the blood of The Lamb and the word of your testimony. You'll see the darkness go as your faith begins to grow. You're not alone, so how can you be lonely? Stop what you're doing right now and Praise His Name!
Praise His Name for every thing! Focus on helping others and your own problems will begin to look smaller. But all the while … Praise His Name!
