For those of us who have discovered Jesus and the gift of Eternal Life in Heaven, the search was either long and challenging or the finding of Jesus was a natural and easy progression, a symptom of our surroundings.
It’s truly a blessing to grow in an environment where it’s a recognized fact that the words ‘born again’ and ‘saved’ are in the Bible, a legacy passed from God to man through His Word. Yet, the words are often dismissed as mere words in a book.
There are countless ways satan wants to distract you in order to tempt and lure your mind away from Jesus. Confusion, loneliness, self-doubt, past sin … the list of satan’s evil and hate of us is endless. We have the power of the Holy Spirit in us and we must walk confidently knowing He is with us as we exercise our free will. If we choose to ‘do right’ … to tap into the power of the Holy Spirit, the works of satan are muted.
Romans 15:13 - "Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost."
Today’s song is (I've Been) Searchin' So Long. The band Chicago originally performed it in 1974. The version we are linking to is performed by 11 of the finest musicians in Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, and Belarus … Leonid & Friends.
The way we see it, this song captures the essence of one accepting Jesus as their Lord and Saviour and self-reflecting how their life has changed for the better with the Holy Spirit living in them.
As my life goes on, I believe
Somehow something's changed
Something deep inside
Ooh a part of me
There's a strange new light in my eyes
Things I’ve never known
Changin' my life
Changin' me
I've been searchin'
So long
To find an answer
Now I know my life has meaning
