Lord, I'm on my knees 'cause the news broke me; I can barely speak, so in this moment, won't You speak to me? I don't care how, but here in my darkest hour, won't You speak? Just one whisper, one single word … it's the only thing I need right now because I can barely breathe. You are the joy of my heart! Lord Jesus, please speak to me! I know I’m in Your hands and only You understand.
Psalms 130:2 - “Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.” John 16:20 - “Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.” Psalms 23:1-3 – “(A Psalm of David.) The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.” Acts 17:24-27 – “God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; 25 Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; 26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; 27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:”
Father, I know sorrow lasts through the night and the joy of Your Light comes in the morning. But your still small voice is what I need right now. I will wait, won’t you speak? Just one whisper, one word. Thank you for the blessing and opportunity to come to You and seek Your face. Thank You for always being there, for knowing and loving me despite all my sin. You are all I need; I want to hear Your voice … I will wait and listen for You to speak to me.
