Take Me Back to Silent Night

These days, peace on earth is hard to find and perhaps we need reminding one more time ...

Jesus is still our hope!
Romans 15:13 - “Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.”

Take me back to eight years old, the little church on a dead-end road, with a candle in one hand and dad's hand in the other.

Take me back to that Silent Night, when my heart was full and the world was right. Because right now the world looks nothing like those innocent Decembers.

Psalms 40:11-12“Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O LORD: let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me. 12 For innumerable evils have compassed me about: mine iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of mine head: therefore my heart faileth me.”

John 8:12 - “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”

May the sick find healing's touch,
may hatred's fight be won with Love,
and may every heart make room for you, Lord.
Heaven’s Love in a manger low
and a promise that’s still true.
Psalms 33:22 - “Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.”

Jesus, You’re the One who came to save us; the Hope of our hearts, the Light when the world looks dark. You’re the reason and the Hope of Christmas!
