Testify to Love

Everyone loves a good story. The best story ever told is God’s story but the second best story is YOUR story. God’s Word tells us to always be ready to share with others what He's done for us. 1Peter 3:15 -"But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and [be] ready always to [give] an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:"

God’s Spirit lives inside us the moment we first trust Christ as Lord and Savior. It is His Spirit that gives us the power to be His witnesses. The Lord can use you to help others come to know Christ (commonly referred to as ‘sharing your testimony’). Start by writing out your testimony.

Here are some tips:

  • Pray before you start writing. Ask God for wisdom and the words, and to bless the person who shared the gospel with you.

  • Start by telling about your life before Christ. Did you have any "religious" background? Was anyone you knew a Christian and if so, did they witness to you? What made you happy?

  • Was there a particular event or circumstance that made you realize there was something bigger than yourself? What led to your decision to accept Christ?

  • Since accepting Christ, how is your life different now? (perspective on life, joy, attitude, changes in character).

  • Tell what you are currently doing to keep focused on God (read, pray, attend service, Bible studies, serve).

Do we Love Jesus enough to feed and tend to His sheep?
John 21:15-17“… Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.
16 He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
17 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep."
When Jesus repeats Himself, He wants you to pay special attention!

For as long as I shall live, I will testify to Love!

I'll be a witness in the silences when words are not enough.

With every breath I take, I will give thanks to God above. More lyrics here
