This past month we’ve been focusing on 'Love' and the different types of Love in the Bible. We learned why God used the 'old English' words ‘Thou, Thee, Thine, Ye’ and how they differentiate between singular and plural; and we also learned that changing God's Word is one of satan's many forms of deception.
New ‘bible versions’ use worldly words supposedly to make things easier to understand, but because of word association, unholy thoughts arise from the ‘updated’ words of the deceiver. Hebrews 7:26 - “For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;” Jesus is ‘separate from sinners’. God is holy and calls His children to be holy, which means ‘set apart’. God’s pure words will forever remain ‘separate’ in heaven, no matter how much satan revises his printed versions here on earth. Let’s compare 1Peter 5:14 -- The King James Holy Bible says: “Greet ye one another with a kiss of charity. Peace be with you all that are in Christ Jesus. Amen.” New King James Version (NKJV) "Greet one another with a kiss of love. Peace to you all who are in Christ Jesus. Amen.” New International Version (NIV) "Greet one another with a kiss of love. Peace to all of you who are in Christ .” English Standard Version (ESV) “Greet one another with the kiss of love. Peace to all of you who are in Christ .”
Greet ye = God is speaking to more than one person. Note that the NIV and ESV remove ‘Jesus’ and ‘Amen.’ Word association is how the mind responds when hearing a particular word; what a word really means to someone is not necessarily how the dictionary defines it. For example, using this same passage (1Peter 5:14), compare ‘charity’ and ‘love’ word associations:
The new ‘versions’ change the word ‘charity’ to ‘love’. The word ‘love’ is associated with worldly thoughts of ‘hate, sex, lover, good’, etc.
The Holy Bible uses the word ‘charity’, which is associated with Bible thoughts of ‘chastity, church, faith, war’, etc.
1Corinthians13:13 – “And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.” God uses wholesome words and He specifically calls ‘charity’ greater!
