It's almost time to celebrate Jesus’ birthday! We wish you a CHRISTmas to believe in … where the moments turn to memories and years from now you'll close your eyes and see them.
Isaiah 9:6 - “For unto us a child is born … and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
Remember grandpa's Bible opened up to Luke Chapter 2, where it tells about the greatest gift of Love that was born for me and you? This is the season where Christ-followers’ hearts return home to the One Who is the reason … making every CHRISTmas a CHRISTmas to believe in!
Jesus is GOD OUR SAVIOUR whether or not you BELIEVE. Matthew 1:23 - “Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.” 1Timothy 2:3 - “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;”
It's a house full of noise 'cause the family is all in town; it's an attic full of toys so the kids won't find out; the smell of cookies in the oven; a mistletoe kiss; it’s an empty seat at the table to remember who we miss; it's a candlelight carol; it's a grateful choir singin'. Oh Hark! The Herald, it's a CHRISTmas to believe in!
Matthew 1:24-25 – “Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: 25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.”
Reader: Look up John 3:16 in your Bible. Does it say these exact words? John 3:16 - “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Does the ‘bible’ you are reading say “one and only Son” or “only Son” instead of “only begotten Son”? does it say “whoever” instead of “whosoever”? does it say “eternal” … instead of “everlasting” life?
… if you are reading an NIV, ESV, NKJV or any other new version, don’t let satan fool you!
“Begotten” means ‘being the only one of its kind or class, unique in kind.’ Jesus is not only God’s Son but He is uniquely God’s Son—sharing the same divine nature as God (as opposed to believers who are God’s sons and daughters by adoption).
Things that are different are NOT the same! Wouldn’t you rather read God’s Word than man’s?
Make your New Year’s resolution now to study God’s TRUE Word (download free here) and get to know our Lord. The Bible you read makes a HUGE difference in what and how you learn. This season, turn your heart to The One Who is the reason.
