Did you know you were born a prisoner? We were born of the devil and therefore are prisoners of sin. John 8:34-36 - "Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. 35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. 36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” We are all sinners in need of a Saviour! More details
The gift Jesus offers is forgiveness of sin. He saves you from your sin so that you can live with Him for eternity in heaven.
So if Jesus can forgive you, you certainly can forgive others, right?
Easier said than done.
The power of one word: Forgiveness.
Today’s message is a continuation … Part 2. Read yesterday’s message, “Are You a Prisoner?” here.
Saying, "I forgive you" and meaning "I forgive you" are two different things. Forgiveness comes from the heart, not the mouth.
The power of forgiveness is beautiful. It brings freedom and peace of mind, allowing us to move forward and live a joy-filled life.
God’s Word tells us to forgive. Ephesians 4:32 - “And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.”
Philippians 4:13 - “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
It isn’t through your power or strength that you can truly forgive, it is through HIS.
