Mankind is accountable and liable for every action and thought. After our time on earth, every person will give to God an account of their life.
Romans 14:11 - “For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.”
The Bible describes two separate judgments which will determine the fate of believers and unbelievers before God.
Judgment for believers – The Judgment Seat of Christ (Bema Seat) - 2Corinthians 5:9-10 Believers will stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ—not to determine salvation, but to evaluate our spiritual service, growth and rewards. Sins of believers will be revealed in the judgment as forgiven sins, totally covered by the blood of Jesus Christ. For those who have placed their faith in Christ alone, their eternal destiny is secure (John 3:36). The gift—eternal life—is given to us at the moment of faith in Christ (Rom. 6:23) and is received by grace alone, through faith alone, totally apart from works (Eph. 2:8-9).
Judgment for unbelievers - The Great White Throne Judgment - Revelation 20:11-15
At this judgment, all unbelievers will stand before God and because they rejected His perfect righteousness (2Cor. 5:21)—they will be judged according to their own works, which are grossly insufficient to meet God’s perfect standard (Isaiah 64:6) and their names will not be found in the Book of Life, confirming their eternal separation from God (Rev. 20:15) in the lake of fire.
satan tempts the lost into believing Christ’s blood on the cross and resurrection from the dead was nothing; his goal is to keep the world focused on things like Santa and a bunny rabbit that lays chicken eggs (although not evil, they're not the focus).
Think on this: One day, standing before God, the Perfect Judge. Will it be a happy day?
If you have repented and placed your trust in Jesus Christ, His righteousness will cover you.
Those not covered by the Blood of Jesus must realize they are destined for hell and there are no good deeds they can do to earn their place in Heaven. There are many good people in hell because they were too proud to repent and accept Jesus' gift!
It’s humbling to realize when our physical life is done we have only our soul to take with us.
Salvation is not an optional choice but the only alternative to an eternity apart from God in hell.
