We all know that life is full of ups and downs. If we never had any ‘downs’ we wouldn’t be as thankful for the ‘ups’. The storms of life are inevitable and often times God uses them to teach us something or to equip us in the future to better help someone facing the same storm. We often can’t see the purpose in what we’re going through at the time of our trial, but we have to trust God and ask Him to show us the purpose of the pain and to keep us safe until the storm passes by. Isaiah 25:4 - “For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.”
Trust God in your storm! When satan whispers, "There's no need to try, there's no hope," remind him where he will spend eternity; then tell the Lord, "I know You're with me. Thank You for holding me through the storm!"
Christ-follower, when the long night ends and the storms pass, we will stand in the presence of the Lord!
