Oh what I would do to have the kind of faith it takes to climb out of this boat I'm in, onto the crashing waves; to step out of my comfort zone to the realm of the unknown where Jesus is, and He's holding out His hand. But the waves are calling out my name and they laugh at me, reminding me of all the times I've tried before and failed. The waves, they keep on telling me time and time again, "Boy, you'll never win!" But the voice of truth tells me a different story. I choose to listen and believe Jesus.
John 18:37 - “Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.” Proverbs 22:19-21 – “That thy trust may be in the LORD, I have made known to thee this day, even to thee. 20 Have not I written to thee excellent things in counsels and knowledge, 21 That I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth; that thou mightest answer the words of truth to them that send unto thee?” 2Corinthians 13:8 - “For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.” John 14:6 - “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
Oh what I would do to have the kind of strength it takes to stand before a giant with just a sling and a stone, surrounded by the sound of a thousand warriors shaking in their armour, wishing they'd have had the strength to stand. But the giant's calling out my name and he laughs at me, reminding me of all the times I've tried before and failed. The giant keeps on telling me time and time again, "Boy, you'll never win!" And then the voice of truth says, "Do not be afraid!" The voice of truth says, "This is for My glory." Out of all the voices calling out to me, I will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth because Jesus, You are the voice of truth!
3John 1:4 - “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.”
