Have you ever questioned God? From the ‘small stuff’ like, “Why mosquitos?” to the ‘big stuff’ like, “Why do young ones have to die, long before their time?”
God’s instruction manual answers our life questions but have you ever noticed that God is often the first to be blamed when things go wrong?
Troubles in this life are inevitable and Christ-followers should RUN to the Father when trials come! He’s on our side! He Loves us!
Psalms 118:6 - “The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?”
Make no mistake, the lost world notices how “Christians” handle adversity. Will they see you run TO our merciful Father or run AWAY from Him? Psalms 32:10 - “Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about.”
Ask God for stronger faith and for Him to hold your heart when it breaks. Do not fear! Tell Him you need Him, especially in those “Why” moments.
Joshua 1:9 - “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”
Jesus tells us to let His Light shine through us so others will see (Matthew 5:16) … and we should. Notice He doesn’t say to shine His Light only when things are going good.
Consider this quote from a recent sermon: “Ultimately, others measure your life not by how bright your light is, but how well you manage your shadow.” ~A. Shelby
