Pray aloud with your spouse: What's Happening
Pray as One With Your Spouse

Mark 10:5-8 And Jesus answered and said unto them,"For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept. But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh."

When you pray aloud to God with your spouse (as one), it places God at the head of your marriage and grows your bond and marital trinity with Him.

  • Satan does not want you and your spouse to build a stronger bond with God.

  • If you've never prayed aloud with your spouse, you're missing out on a unique closeness.

  • When you pray aloud with your spouse, you may feel vulnerable, exposed, intimidated and silly.
You both may be afraid to pray together, but once you do it you'll realize joy in God's blessing.

  • Don't pray aloud with your spouse and ask God to remedy a personal conflict with them. If you slip into that trap, please stop praying and apologize to your spouse and God for having prayed with a personal agenda.

  • If your spouse is resistant to pray with you, let it go.
Nothing should stop you from holding their hand or embracing them when you pray silently.
After a week or so, begin praying aloud while holding them and it will gradually become more comfortable.

  • If not?

Don't push too hard,

but don't give up,
LOVE THEM
